Launched in January of 2021, WhatToDoInWhistler.ca is a website that showcases the best things to do in the resort town of Whistler and the surrounding area.
Although under a different brand name, it’s a sister website to Vancouver’s Best Places (at vancouversbestplaces.com) and Victoria’s Best Places (at victoriasbestplaces.com).
What to do in Whistler: The Website
The purpose of WhatToDoInWhistler.ca is to help inform people about all the amazing things to see and do in Whistler. The same as Vancouver’s Best Places and Victoria’s Best Places, the Whistler website is a project of PR Loyalty Solutions which is a North Vancouver-based business.
WhatToDoInWhistler.ca was originally built and designed in 2020 (the year of the COVID-19 global pandemic). We hope it helps the tourism and hospitality industries in Whistler and the Sea to Sky region. After all the personal, health and economic damage cause by the coronavirus, we know that these industries need support. It was a terrible year for everyone! Articles of interest on the website include everything from Festivals & Events to Whistler Attractions, Hotels in Whistler and Restaurants at the Resort.
The design, layout and content of this website were a collaborative effort. As of the website’s launch, its design, layout and video editing content are primarily the work of Bhavin S. (a 2020 graduate of Interactive Arts & Technology from Simon Fraser University). The lead author of the majority of articles is Amanda P. (a 2020 graduate of Communications also from SFU). The lead editor, photographer and videographer is Peter Roundhill (who is also the CEO and editor of Vancouver’s Best Places).
WhattodoinWhistler.ca and Vancouver’s Best Places acknowledge that the land we live on, work on and write about are the unceded traditional territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations (for our office based in North Vancouver), other Coast Salish Nations (for the greater Lower Mainland region), and the Lil’wat First Nation (in addition to the Squamish Nation) for the region around Whistler. We are grateful for being able to live and work in this amazing region of the world, and honoured to be able to write about and share our experiences.
