A member of the Vancouver-based Executive Hotels Chain, the Executive Inn Whistler is a mid-range hotel with two separate buildings in Whistler Village Centre.
Inn At Whistler Village & Mountain Side Hotel
The Executive Inn Whistler is one of nine BC hotels owned by the Vancouver-based Executive Hotels & Resorts chain. The company also has properties in Toronto, Seattle, San Francisco and New York. Sister hotels in the City of Vancouver include the Vintage Park, Le Soleil and EXchange Hotel. In North Vancouver there is also the Seaside Hotel and locations in Burnaby, Coquitlam and Richmond.
All rooms at the Executive Inn Whistler are suites. Rooms are equipped with a basic kitchen including a stove and refrigerator plus a wood-burning fireplace. Fire logs are provided at the front desk with the first log free. Any additional logs cost around $5. In total, the Executive Inn has 67 rooms between two facilities.
Where is the Executive Inn in Whistler?
The Executive Inn actually operates two locations in Whistler Village. The hotel’s Village Side Rooms can be found at 4250 Village Stroll while the Mountain Side Rooms can be found at 4417 Sundial Place. The buildings are close to each other, but still about one block away. Both are in the Whistler Village Centre area.
The Inn At Whistler Village is a cedar-shake West Coast-style building across from the Crystal Lodge Hotel and Spaghetti Factory restaurant. Its entrance is just off the Village Stroll which is a pedestrian-only street. The Mountain Side Hotel, meanwhile, is a larger building with a peaked roof, stone trim and multiple chimneys.
Both of the Executive Hotel’s locations are within walking distance of many of Whistler’s top attractions. The gondolas up the mountains are just a short walk from either location as is the Whistler Olympic Park and Audain Art Museum.

Amenities at the Executive Inn differ depending on the season. The place offers complimentary seasonal drinks, with lemonade in the summer and hot apple cider in the winter. As well, seasonal equipment storage is available for bikes in warmer months and skis and snowboards during the ski season.
Year-round amenities at the hotel include a heated outdoor pool, hot tub and wood sauna. For folk that like to exercise there is a small cardio fitness room. There is also an electric vehicle charging station available on-site. (NOTE: The pool and hot tub can be found at the 4417 Sundial Place location. This means that guests who are staying at the 4250 Village Stroll location that want to use the pool have to walk between the two locations.)
The Executive Inn offers pet-friendly rooms as well, although an extra charge applies.
On-Site Dining
There is currently one on-site restaurant at the Executive Inn Whistler. However, an additional place is opening soon. Il Caminetto has been around for a while and, as of the spring of 2021, Joe Fortes is opening soon.

Il Caminetto
Il Caminetto is a fancy Italian place at 4242 Village Stroll. The restaurant is open daily for dinner from 5:00 until 10:00 pm as well as on weekends from 2:30 to 5:00 pm for après ski. Menu items are on the more expensive side ranging from $24.50 for the spaghetti pomodoro up to $59.50 for the grilled Quebec veal chop.
Joe Fortes Seafood and Chophouse
Joe Fortes is a new restaurant coming soon to the Executive Inn Whistler. The restaurant is taking over the location of the former Trattoria restaurant at 4417 Sundial Place. While the Whistler location is not yet open, there is a second Joe Fortes restaurant in downtown Vancouver. Menu items are expected to be seafood and steak-focused.
